Metropolitan Transit Authority – Light Rail Transit System – Houston, TX

Subcontractor on $300 million project to construct Houston’s first light system, 7.5 miles long. Built storage and maintenance facility yard, test track and main track, including 9,200 TF of CWR ballasted track on wood ties, 21 turnouts, 8,885 TF of jointed ballasted track on wood ties, main track construction consisting of 5,400 TF of CWR ballasted track on wood ties and 3,750 TF of ballasted track with concrete ties. Also included the installation of one double crossover, two #8 turnouts and 1,200 TF of concrete road crossings.
