*GWP was the DBE rail contractor for the Chicago Transit Authority's (CTA) rehabilitation of the Dan Ryan Red Line. GWP's work performance was exemplary and both CTA and Kiewit Infrastructure, the prime contractor, were most pleased with both the quality and the momentum of the job. The fact that Kiewit embraced a DBE firm as a key partner in the actual right-of-way construction attracted the attention of the press, and the vocal support of legislators, of key community organizers and of neighborhood activists.
